Availability
Why isn't my product showing up on the landing page?
Possibility 1: 48-Hour Scrape Window
It takes roughly 48 hours for a new URL to be scraped after it has been entered into Destini's product-retailer link matrix.
Possibility 2: Product Must be In-Stock
If a retailer URL is automated (being sent to our scrapers), Destini will only show that product if it is in stock.
Possibility 3: Regional Scraping
Destini uses 'regions' to scrape groups of zip codes and assigns each zip code a stock status based on its parent region zip code. For example, the zip code 90210 might be the 'parent zip code' for the following zip codes: 90211, 90212, 90213, 90214. This means that Destini scrapes stock status for zip code 90210 and assigns the value that comes back (In Stock/ Out of Stock) to 90211, 90212, 90213 and 90214.
Possibility 4: 3rd Party Sellers
For Amazon.com, Destini will not show a product that is in stock if it is sold by a 3rd Party Seller or does not have an Amazon Buy Box.
Why isn't direct-to-cart working when I click 'Continue to Checkout'?
Possibility 1: The URL is a 'manual' URL
If the URL was added to Destini's manual system, then the UPC is not eligible to direct-to-cart at that retailer. When URLs are added to the manual system, they are not scraped for availability and we cannot activate direct-to-cart.
Possibility 2: Regional Scraping
Destini uses 'regions' to scrape groups of zip codes and assigns each zip code a stock status based on its parent region zip code. For example, the zip code 90210 might be the 'parent zip code' for the following zip codes: 90211, 90212, 90213, 90214. This means that Destini scrapes stock status for zip code 90210 and assigns the value that comes back (In Stock/ Out of Stock) to 90211, 90212, 90213 and 90214. To summarize, a consumer may be trying to add a product that isn't actually in stock to their cart due to a false positive from regional scraping.
